2017
I think Autumn is a pretty underrated season . Unlike its counterpart Spring, it's the season where leaves and flowers start to bloom instead of fall . Spring may have comfortable t-shirt weather, but I personally love the fact that Autumn has always been this "cold, but not deathly cold" sort of weather . But most of all I love the fact that Autumn brings in the weather for the likes of items such as cardigans, sweaters and scarves . Since Autumn is basically synonymous with cardigans, I wanted to highlight my most favourite styles of cardigans I've seen so far for the season !

First of all I'd just like to say that in general I tend to like baggy cardigans that are probably one or two sizes bigger than your actual body LOL . I like this sort of style because I tend to gravitate towards styles that makes my body look skinnier than what it may actually be to other people haha . So yes, please do keep that in mind when browsing through these picks !

The any weather cardigan .

@ fashion mia .
The any weather cardigan are like thin sheets of paper that you can put on your body whether it be Summer Autumn Winter Spring and is DEFINITELY a must have in your closet . These cardigans are so diverse in their uses, whether you'd use them as a cover up over a spaghetti-strap singlet, to the thin cover up under your coat that you can easily take off when it gets a bit too hot . They're perfect for those Autumn days that aren't too cold during the day but gets quite chilly at night, the possibilities with these cardigans are endless indeed~

The open front cardigan .

@ Sammydress
Open front cardigans I think are staples for the Autumn season . You get to show your t-shirt style, they always go well with beanies and scarves, and depending on the style can make you look really girly and cute or really stylish . I don't know what it is but there's always something fashionable about woollen front cardigans against a thin piece t-shirt or skinny jeans/pants . Open front cardigans also have the ability to keep your body warm but at the same time isn't like thermal heating, so you can feel the refreshing Autumn breeze (and I love it when the cardigan sort of flows in the wind and makes you feel so cool XD)

The button-up cardigan .

@ Yesstyle
I mean, open front cardigans are super stylish and all, but what happens when that wind gets a little too much ? It's like the cold is slapping your body and it's that point where the weather can get a tad bit too cold . That's why I think the button-up cardigan is always an important item to have in your fashion arsenal . Also I personally like to use my button-up cardigans at home as well as going out since button-ups help to keep your body warm in colder weather, but also isn't chunky or uncomfortable like a coat . Button-up cardigans are also really great for your clothes to not be all over the place while you're doing stuff like house chores and all that jazz . With the right style, the button-up cardigan can be a very useful fashion resource !

The batwing cardigan .

@ Sammydress
The batwing cardigan is an extremely popular trend nowadays and is also pretty versatile for what type of weather you can use them in, considering the fact that the looseness is refreshing in the hotter seasons rather than hot and stifling . They're gorgeous types of cardigans and are perfect for anyone who wants to look really stylish, however the downside is that since the sleeves aren't cut wing-esque, it can get pretty uncomfortable if you wear these sorts of cardigans under a coat or another item of clothing .

The pattern cardigan .

@ SammyDress
Sure, your outfits may always look on fleek, but if your closet feels as bit too filled with plain colours, patterns are a wonderful way to really set a trend, especially with cardigans . Plus in Autumn wearing patterned cardigans with solid black in the inside is not only really gorgeous, but pretty warming as well . However it is pretty important to be careful getting theses sorts of cardigans because finding really good-looking patterns could be kind of hard to find sometimes . However the cardigan style in the above picture has actually been popular for years and I still really like this look after years of seeing it !

The long looks-like-a-coat-but-not-really cardigan .

@ Dresslily
If you like the classy style of coats but you know you can't use them just yet, cardigans can also be a wonderful substitute for your fashion needs . Beige colours may not look so classy when translated into cardigan, however tones like grey, white and black cardigans can really make for that simple and minimalistic fashion look . And there's always some kind of awesome "I feel so cool with this long cardigan flowing in the wind" kind of thing XD . I also tend to wear long cardigans that don't have batwings though also it kind of...feels like...your clothing's everywhere and it's really hard to do functioning activities . Also it's really hard to find button-up long cardigans so do keep that in mind .

So there it is ! The Must-Have styles you need to have when you choose or pick your cardigans for the wonderful season that is Autumn~ I personally love cardigans for their diverse nature and not so stifling nature, and I'm so glad I can start using them again . ^^ So what's the cardigan style you'll be rocking for the colder months to come ?
