Located in the heart of Capitol Square in the Sydney CBD Passionflower; a beautiful quaint little place for light and lovely food  inspired from the flavours of Asia.

The Passionflower cafe is a small and quaint area that serves a large diversity of desserts; waffles, pancakes, ice-cream,  dessert martinis, and actually a whole lot more .

Coming to this place after school, me and my friends decided to try this place out with the perfect timing of a beautiful spring's day . It is located near every type of tertiary education system that seems to exist within Sydney, and is actually at a popular place to relax . But alas...

When navigating to the place it was difficult as at first, even though we're Sydneysiders, we didn't actually detect that it is in a closed area (be aware of this if ever you attempt to visit this place) . Then when trying to find it within Capitol Square, we walked around for a while...and realised the place doesn't have a sign . Quite bizarre indeed .

The place is actually unawaringly expensive . When I first came there I really didn't expect it, because even places like the Lindt Cafe and Max Brenner have reasonable prices . I was actually going to get two desserts from here but was discouraged when I realised it was going to be $15 each (one which was the Super Duper Brownie and the other being a dessert martini).
Not only that but when I got my dessert (the Super Duper Brownie), it wasn't actually really filling . I usually basically have a bottomless stomach when I go to an eating place so this was really dissapointing, to me whether it's a dessert or not-at the end of the day a dish should attempt to keep you full . The Lindt Cafe's Sundae is around the same price but is much more fulfilling .

Pro's

The place is really lovely for eating on a Summer or Spring day, where the weather is utterly beautiful and perfect . I stress this factor due to the fact that many dessert cafe's are usually for those cold bitter winter days, made to keep you warm . But the best thing about this place is that it is designed for all seasons, but maximised for the warmer end of the seasons-giving a rather refreshing end to a hot day if I may say .
Service is fast, in a span of five minutes al three orders were already handed to us . Even though it was not so busy, I think you can very much count that even on their more packed days they won't keep you waiting 'till the cows come home for your order . It gives that very light and airy feel of the cafe, which is the best part about it . Not only that but the presentation of the desserts are absolutely delightful and make you wonder how they can make such an artful thing at such a short timespan .
You can come here whether you're full or not as the best part of it is it's revitalizing sort of atmosphere . It's a small but beautiful cafe, allowing you and whoever you're with to enjoy a refreshing dessert within a small but well-designed cafe interior . There is something about the area that is made more keep you happy rather than keep you relaxed, which I think is a much delightful alternative .

To be honest this may not be a place to completely stuff your face in from a depressing class or eight, but it is most definitely a nice and lovely way to the end the day with people you enjoy being with .
